Our BCRA Horses
When Ashley heard Tuesday's story, she knew she would be a perfect fit for the BCRA: Tuesday had worked for years as a military horse and was struggling to adjust to retirement with her former owner, a retired Marine. With his blessing, Ashley brought Tuesday to the BCEC and began the rehabilitation process. After a lot of love and care, Tuesday now is beloved by students of all skill levels, whether they jump,
Little Apple worked for many years at a school in Northern California, but struggled to find a forever home after the school closed down. Thanks to Ashley and the BCRA team, Apple has settled in at the BCEC, working both with advanced beginners and intermediate riders on their jumping. She may be small (although she's big for a pony), but her big personality and eagerness to learn make her a BCRA favorite.
Meet Fish & Marshmallow
Fish (right) and Marshmallow (left) are two school ponies hailing from Northern California. Both of them love playing, brushing, and the occasional nose pat - no treats, please, though, as Fish is diabetic and Marshmallow always wants to share. Whether you have a little rider under 6 years of age or 90 lbs, or you are just looking to introduce someone to the world of riding, Fish and Marshmallow are happy to volunteer!
Meet Mia (Emeritus)
Mia is a retired equitation horse who won the Rosewood Medal, a distinguished California Equitation Medal for horses 12 years old and under. Mia has officially retired from daily school life, but she loves to meet brand-new riders who need a gentle introduction to horses. Sweet and kind, Mia loves her work and always brings a willing, easy-going attitude to her lessons.
