Originating from Germany, Swea Zamel, of Swea Schoening Dressage, has been training, competing and winning both in the international Level and international competitions for over a decade. She has brought up most of her competition horses from the beginning stages, but has also worked and competed with many horses who were considered problem horses. Swea has a huge interest and experience in proper rehabilitation of competition horses, as well as any other equine partners, after injuries.
Swea also has a passion for teaching. She trains other Professionals, Adult Amateurs, and Juniors/Young Riders alike. Some of her biggest successes in the competition ring to date include an international win and a placing in a CDI (Concours Dressage Internationale), and multiple US Champion titles under IALHA, the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association. Other Awards include Championship titles through the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) Levels under DASC, the Dressage Association of Southern California.
Swea’s clientele consists largely of long term students, who have been entrusting her with their Equine Partners for years, due to her knowledge, sincerity, honesty, and trustworthiness that greatly mark her training philosophy.
She lives with her husband and two children in the Pacific Palisades.
