Are your tweens and teens ready to meet new people, make crafts, play games, and build up their skills in a safe equestrian environment?  If so, Bell Canyon Riding Academy's 2022 Summer Camp Season is the place for them.  Here's what's coming up:

Camp A: School's Out

Half-Day Horse Camp | For equestrians ages 8 and up

Celebrate the end of school and the beginning of a kickin' summer season!  Parents can choose to sign up for one or both weeks.

Week 1: June 20 - 23, 8:30 AM - 12 PM | $450

Week 2: June 27 - 30, 8:30 AM - 12 PM | $475

Camp B: Hot to Trot

Half-Day Horse Camp | For equestrians ages 8 and up

Campers, ponies, and horses travel the world without ever leaving the BCEC!  Parents can choose to sign up for one or both weeks.

Week 1: July 11 - 14, 8:30 AM - 12 PM | $450

Week 2: July 18 - 21, 8:30 AM - 12 PM | $475

Camp C: Summer Splash

Half-Day Horse Camp | For equestrians ages 8 and up

Wrap up the Summer Camp Season with water-filled fun!  Activities include crafting popsicles for the horses, bobbing for apples, and Sprinkler Spritzer jumps.

August 8 - 11, 8:30 AM - 12 PM | $450

Week 1 Activities:

  • Fruity Photos: a summer photo shoot with your favorite horse

  • Sassy Saddles: tie dye a summer saddle pad to use through the week or show off in Week 2

  • Watermelon Waltz: work as a team to create a synchronization ride pattern with a watermelon twist

  • Game Day: Cherry Chase Relay Race & Lemonade Leap

  • Crafting Camp Shirts

  • Summer scavenger hunt

Week 2 Activities:

  • Show Prep Basics: learn how to bathe, polo wrap, and braid horses' manes and tails

  • Show Prep for People: learn how to prepare for a show, both physically and mentally, in the lead up

  • Course Creation: learn to build, walk, and ride through a show course

  • Show Day: participate in at least one class category to demonstrate skill and win a ribbon

Participation is limited to 12 Campers per session; Campers will be riding and working in teams, so partial registrations will not be accepted this season.  In case of excess heat or inclement weather, Camp will not be cancelled;  alternative horse activities will be provided and the cost reduced by $25 for each alternate day of Camp.  Refunds of the reduced cost will be processed after the last day of Camp.

A Word About Safety

The BCRA is committed to following all Ventura County COVID safety guidelines and best practices.  Currently guidelines do not require Campers or parents to wear masks; however, we do ask that Campers remain home and contact the BCRA in the event of any illness.

Cancellation Policy:

A 50% deposit is required at registration to hold the spot; the deposit is refundable up to 30 days before the start of camp. Deposits are non-refundable after that date.  The balance is due no later than 5 business days before the start of camp; it will not be refunded after the due date.  If a Camper is present during roll call on the first day of a Camp, no part of the registration fee is refundable, no exceptions.
